Julian Perez, Environmental Science alumni, has received a scholarship from one of the most recognized institutes worldwide, Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Bocas del Toro, Panama.

This training grant in “Taxonomy and Ecology of Sea Anemones” won by Julian Perez with his project “Evaluation of the Impact of Anthropic Activity on the Macrobenthic Diversity present in the intertidal and subtidal rocky substrates of the Santa Elena Peninsula and Manabi”, will train Julian as the first specialist in anemone taxonomy in the country.

UEES wishes Julian every success in this new challenge.
