The Faculty of Health Sciences Dr. Enrique Ortega Moreira of the Universidad de Especialidades Espiritu Santo (UEES) inaugurated SIMUEES Ambulance, the first simulation ambulance in Ecuador, together with the modern Human Anatomy Unit. This progress reaffirms the institution's commitment to academic excellence and the professional development of its students.
During the ceremony, the dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Juan Carlos Zevallos, highlighted the importance of these new facilities. “These new anatomy, physiology and morphology facilities represent enormous progress for the well-being of students and respect for the patient,” he said. He further emphasized that “UEES does not stop progressing, and we do so with excellence. This is the training that every physician, every student and every faculty member seeks to promote knowledge and benefit the patient”.
For her part, Juliana Obando, a student of the faculty, expressed her enthusiasm and gratitude for this innovation: “We are very grateful to the University for the inauguration of the new morphology laboratory and the ambulance simulation area. This reflects the constant commitment of UEES to provide the best tools for the integral development of its students as future professionals”.
The SIMUEES simulation ambulance will allow students to train in a controlled environment that replicates real emergency situations, enhancing their ability to react and make decisions. On the other hand, the Human Anatomy Unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for the study of morphology and physiology, providing an innovative and high quality learning experience.
With these initiatives, UEES reaffirms its position as a leader in medical education in Ecuador, aligning itself with its vision of educating professionals of excellence with a human approach and committed to society.
