Universidad Espíritu Santo (UEES), through the School of Government, the School of Entrepreneurship, Business and Economics, CESDE and the School of Business, brought together leading experts to discuss Ecuador's political, economic and business prospects in 2025.
The event counted with the participation of renowned speakers, such as Hector Yépez, former assemblyman and director of the UEES School of Government, who addressed the electoral results and their impact on the country's governance. Pablo Arosemena, former Minister of Economy and General Director of Eureka UEES, presented a macroeconomic analysis and growth projections. On the business side, Francisco Alemán, dean of Entrepreneurship, Business and Economics, and César Espinoza, The panelists discussed the main challenges for the private sector, highlighting cost optimization, investment in technology and sustainability.
🔹 Politics: A parliamentary bipartisanship is consolidated, which reduces the possibility of extreme crises, although the government does not have an absolute majority.
🔹 Economy: Economic rebound projected in 2025, driven by consumption and exports. 📈 However, tax adjustments could mark the year.
🔹 Companies: Digitalization and automation will be key to competitiveness. Cost optimization and investment in technology will define the success of the private sector.
The forum highlighted that, despite the challenges, Ecuador faces 2025 with opportunities for development and stability. The synergy between the public and private sectors will be key to boost growth and strengthen the country's economy. UEES reaffirms its commitment to generate spaces for debate and analysis that contribute to the future of Ecuador, promoting knowledge and strategic decision-making in all sectors.
