The Faculty of International Studies of UEES organized for the first time, the intercollegiate contest called “World Savvy”, aimed at ninth and tenth year students of schools in our country. The event was held this Friday, November 16, 2018 in the facilities of Building P.

The objective of “World Savvy” is to awaken students' interest in general cultural topics. Ancient Greece, Rome, Renaissance, Industrial Revolution, World War I and II, Egypt, and World Civilization are the general knowledge tested in the contest.

The educational institutions that participated in this first edition are: Delta, Torremar, Liceo Panamericano, La Moderna, Steiner, Marcel Laniado de Wind (Machala), Jefferson (Salinas), and the German Humboldt School of Guayaquil. The semifinalists of the first day were Liceo Panamericano, Unidad Educativa Delta, and Unidad Educativa Torremar, the latter being “the winning team”, which was awarded a trophy and a diploma for its outstanding participation.

The “World Savvy” intercollegiate competition seeks to be implemented every year in November.
