The University Espiritu Santo (UEES), through the Eureka Entrepreneurship Center, successfully concluded the Entrepreneurship Mentor Certification Program, This initiative combined virtual and face-to-face sessions with the aim of enhancing the capabilities of those who accompany and guide entrepreneurial projects.
The program was taught by professors of the Universidad de los Andes (UNIANDES), The participants, who came from Bogota, Colombia, shared methodologies and practical tools aimed at innovation, sustainability and positive impact. The training allowed participants to strengthen key competencies to inspire, guide and consolidate entrepreneurship in different sectors.
“In this way, a path is taught for a group of entrepreneurs to develop and generate welfare for themselves and others, create employment, but above all to produce an attitude of resilience,” mentioned Francisco Aleman, dean of the faculty of Entrepreneurship, Business and Economics.
During the closing ceremony, 30 certifications were awarded to teaching staff from Universidad Espíritu Santo, Universidad Ecotec, Instituto Tecnológico Argos, as well as to professionals linked to the business world.
“Our studies show that, compared to other entrepreneurship ecosystems, those entrepreneurs who work within a community - together with professors, mentors, investment funds and investors - are 20% more likely to achieve success in their businesses,” said Hamilton Lopez, director of the UNIANDES Entrepreneurship Center.
This inter-institutional alliance consolidates the commitment to strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem and the formation of a community of highly trained mentors.
