UEES - Espiritu Santo University > Communication > UEES begins its day-long talks with presidential candidates

In order to create a space for dialogue and citizen participation, the following activities were initiated 2023 Presidential Conference at the Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo (UEES). This series of discussions, to be held from June 19 to 27, will allow students to learn about the candidates' proposals, express their concerns and actively contribute to the construction of democracy.

The first candidate invited was Otto Sonnenholzner, who talked with the students about security, economy, health, education, environment and youth insertion in the workplace.

During his speech, candidate Sonnenholzner emphasized: «Our project is based on three fundamental pillars: first, peace in the streets; second, to provide economic well-being in homes; and third, to promote prosperity for families». He also emphasized the importance of focusing resources, both in public and social investment, in those areas most affected by poverty, insecurity and lack of opportunities.

These enriching encounters for democracy will continue throughout the week, giving our students the opportunity to interact with various candidates and enrich their vision of the future of the country.
