UEES - Espiritu Santo University > Research Center > Researcher becomes first Latin American to be named adjunct professor at Charité University

Dr. Iván Chérrez Ojeda, professor and researcher at UEES, has been appointed adjunct professor in the Charité University of Berlin, one of the top 100 universities in the world according to the prestigious Times Higher Education ranking. This historic achievement is due to his significant contributions to medical research, especially in the study of diseases such as mastocytosis, chronic urticaria and atopic dermatitis.

“It is a great opportunity for our university to continue the exchange of knowledge. We have prepared new projects that we will carry out with this institution and, for the first time, we will bring all that knowledge to advance research that we started five years ago,” said Chérrez.

This appointment highlights its academic trajectory, its capacity to develop innovative projects and its commitment to the exchange of knowledge between institutions. This strengthens scientific collaboration, improves the quality of patient care and places the university in the international spotlight for its scientific contributions.

The recognition not only enhances Chérrez, but also opens new opportunities for UEES, promoting advanced research and creating a global knowledge network that will benefit students and professionals in the medical field.
