Espiritu Santo University enthusiastically celebrated the INNOVA UEES 2023 intercollegiate competition, which saw the active participation of close to 400 young people with cutting-edge proposals. This event, designed to stimulate creativity and innovation among high school students, concluded with the awarding of 100 %, 50 % and 40 % scholarships to the three outstanding winners.
The premise established by the university was the creation of prototype projects capable of addressing social, cultural, creative, economic, environmental and technological needs in the country. The winners, Nicole Ramírez, Telmo Roblez and Paúl Giler, won first, second and third place, respectively. The winning project consisted of an intelligent bus stop that guarantees the safety of its users.
“This is a way of recognizing and rewarding the efforts of outstanding students so that they can continue their university studies and receive comprehensive training,” said Francisco Alemán, dean of the School of Economics, during an emotional ceremony attended by the winners' families and teachers.
In this way, INNOVA UEES 2023 not only reaffirms Espiritu Santo University's commitment to academic excellence, but also fosters the next generation of leaders and visionaries.
