Espiritu Santo University will host the important international meeting New Frontiers Summit: Education 360 to be held from October 18 to 20 this year. The launching of the outstanding event was held in the city of Quito and was attended by the President of the Republic, Guillermo Lasso, the head of Senescyt, Andrea Montalvo, the rector of UEES, Joaquín Hernández and the executive director of Virtual Educa, Adelino Sousa.

Among the new features of the summit is the intervention of special guest Sophia, a humanoid developed by the company Hanson Robotics that highlights Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics. During the summit, participants will have the opportunity to interact with her, ask questions and learn about the role of AI in today's world, particularly in education and training.

Joaquín Hernández, rector of UEES, indicated that the event is a commitment to the country's young people and university professors: “We must all learn skills, developing competencies and inserting ourselves in new processes, in a continuous manner”.

The international event will bring together the academic community and experts to analyze the impact of Artificial Intelligence in recent years. In addition, it will detail the opportunities that these produce in the field of higher education.
