The Graduate School of Law of Universidad Espiritu Santo UEES signed an Interinstitutional Cooperation Framework Agreement with the National Assembly. Postgraduate students in Law, the School of Law, Politics and Development and teachers will benefit from this agreement.

The agreement guarantees the necessary logistical support for the fulfillment of pre-professional internships for the benefit of undergraduate students. In addition, it promotes methodological support for the design and implementation of research projects, training courses, and training and liaison programs.

Among the items agreed upon are the following:

  • Dissemination of academic offerings among National Assembly officials.
  • Pre-professional internships for our students, which would be carried out virtually. The students will carry out legislative simulations, they will play the role of legislators, members of the Commissions or the Plenary, to learn about the process of law formation, generate debates and others.
  • Guided virtual tours for students. They will be able to take a virtual tour of the Legislative Palace, Guayasamín's Mural, the historical archive where our Constitutions are kept.
  • Students and professors can access the bibliographic archive of the National Assembly to promote research.
  • Possibility of organizing joint forums with the support of the Assembly, the participation of Assembly members and other legislative officials.
  • Active participation, with academic criteria of our professors, both Graduate and Undergraduate, in the different Commissions in charge of the law formation processes.

Joint academic activities will be carried out between undergraduate or graduate students and the National Assembly and will allow their participation in the design and implementation of joint research with the Assembly.
