Universidad Espiritu Santo (UEES) marks an important milestone in its trajectory by opening the doors of the Holy Spirit Chapel. This prayer space, which can accommodate up to 300 people, was recently inaugurated in a ceremony that highlighted the essence of the institution's founding principles, rooted in the love of God.
The Holy Spirit Chapel stands as a new house of prayer that welcomes all the faithful with open arms. This transcendental event reflects the university's commitment not only to academic formation, but also to the spiritual formation of its students, fostering values such as solidarity, love of neighbor and coexistence.
«At the university, we seek not only the academic formation of our students, but also their spiritual growth. This new chapel is a space for our university community to find themselves and become better people,» said Carlos Ortega Maldonado, Chancellor of UEES.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Archbishop of Guayaquil, Monsignor Luis Cabrera, who highlighted the importance of this space to cultivate faith among young people. He also highlighted the altar of the Virgin of Hope, dedicated to the unborn children, to those who have been aborted or died at an early age, reaffirming the commitment of the university with the defense of life.
The Holy Spirit Chapel is not only a place of worship, but a significant gift to the university community. Every detail has been conceived with the purpose of creating a sacred space that strengthens the bonds that unite us as a university community. At the inauguration, the realization of a shared dream was celebrated, symbolizing UEES' continued commitment to spirituality and values that enrich the educational experience.
