The Universidad Espíritu Santo (UEES) signed a cooperation alliance with the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL) to develop the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), Ecuador chapter, considered the most important entrepreneurship study in the country.
«For the first time, we conducted this study jointly with UTPL and PUCE. The data generated for this study are key and essential for decision-making by different actors in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, as well as for the generation of public policies on issues related to entrepreneurship and innovation,» said César Vélez, director of the Eureka Entrepreneurship Center.
This collaboration seeks to strengthen the analysis and understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape in Ecuador, providing valuable and up-to-date information that will benefit entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and other stakeholders in the ecosystem. The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor is a crucial tool to assess the development and trends of entrepreneurship in the country, promoting a more favorable environment for the creation and growth of new businesses.
The signing was made by Santiago Acosta, rector of UTPL, and Isidro Fierro, rector of UEES. With this alliance, both institutions reaffirm their commitment to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in Ecuador, working together to generate knowledge that contributes to the economic and social progress of the country.
