During the inauguration of the New Frontiers Summit, organized by the Government of Ecuador, Virtual Educa and Universidad Espiritu Santo (UEES), Chancellor Carlos Ortega Maldonado appointed Sophia as an illustrious professor of the University.

Sophia, the humanoid robot developed by Hanson Robotics, has become one of the main exhibitors at this important educational and innovative meeting that brought together thousands of academics from different parts of the country and the region.

This event, considered the most important in Ibero-America, was held for the first time in Ecuador, marking a milestone in education and technology in the country.

The New Frontiers Summit has been noted for being a space where collaboration and knowledge sharing in education and technology is promoted. Sophia's participation highlights the importance of innovation and education in the digital age, and underscores UEES's vision to be at the forefront of preparing its students for an ever-evolving world.
