UEES opens the doors to a new pillar of innovation and service in oral health.
The Universidad Espiritu Santo (UEES) inaugurates its new Dental Clinic, intended for use by undergraduate and graduate students. The clinic will offer a wide range of general dentistry services, including diagnosis, prophylaxis and restorations, as well as specialized treatments in orthodontics, endodontics, surgery and oral rehabilitation.
Equipped with a total of 51 dental chairs, intraoral scanners, radiovisiographs and microscopes, the clinic provides students with access to state-of-the-art technology to improve and streamline care for the community.
“By providing a hands-on learning environment for our students, we ensure that each treatment is supervised and carried out with the highest standards of care. The clinic will offer accessibility to advanced dental treatments that might otherwise be costly or difficult to obtain,” noted Estefania Ayala, director of the School of Dentistry.
In addition to providing treatment, the clinic will play a crucial role in promoting preventive oral health by educating patients about the importance of dental care.
“In the long term, we hope that the clinic will contribute to raising dental health standards in the region, fostering a healthier and more oral health-conscious community,” said Joaquín Hernández, the university's president.
Before seeing patients in the dental clinic, students must go through a rigorous pre-clinical practice process, which is essential to ensure confidence and quality in the care provided.
The clinic will be open from Monday to Friday, from 08:00h to 19:00h, and on Saturdays from 08:00h to 12:00h. Patients can register and request the type of care they want through our website, or contact our contact center to schedule an appointment directly.
