How to help your children to choose a career? was the question around which the discussion organized by the Schools of Education and Psychology of UEES revolved. The event was attended by about 300 people, including parents and their children.

Melissa Spurrier, renowned vocational consultant, and Roberto Paez, entrepreneur and certified coach, contributed from their professional perspective and experience to solve the questions: What are the reasons for choosing a career? What are the expectations of parents and children? Will they be able to reach an agreement?

Spurrier approached the subject from the perspective of the person, aptitudes and interests, while Paez approached it from a business and labor vision, establishing what is required to achieve a satisfactory profession in contemporary society.

The moderator of this discussion was Manuel Murrieta, Msc., Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Education.
