The Universidad Espíritu Santo (UEES) is pleased to announce the start of the III Parliamentary Training Program, a joint initiative with the National Assembly, the Ecuadorian Institute of Legislative Studies, and the Legal and Social Observatory of UEES.
The training, academically endorsed by the university, aims to provide fundamental tools to the 137 assembly members and advisors elected in the last process, to optimize their performance during their legislative term.
The workshop, which is completely free of charge, is being held online since November 13 and will last one month. During this period, five modules will be addressed: «National Assembly: Organization and Functioning», «Legislative Procedure», «Parliamentary Practice», «Oversight and Political Control», and «Rights and Citizen Participation».
The virtual modality will allow participants to access the training from any location, using the digital platform of Espiritu Santo University, thus guaranteeing the accessibility and flexibility necessary for legislative commitments.
“This program represents a unique opportunity to strengthen the skills and knowledge of assembly members, as well as their work teams, promoting a more efficient execution in the exercise of their functions,” says Pamela Aguirre, director of the Legal and Social Observatory of UEES.
In this way, these actions not only demonstrate UEES's firm commitment to academic excellence, but also its essential role in strengthening the foundations of democracy in Ecuador.
