Planet ESRI came to Espiritu Santo University this Wednesday, June 18, at the Convention Center's Foundational Auditorium. An event dedicated to exploring geospatial knowledge and geographic intelligence together with students and teachers. This space offered informative talks on these topics, as well as innovative projects by different speakers.
During the event, projects were presented that showed solutions and innovations in the field of geospatial technologies. Among them, projects on the urban expansion of Guayaquil and Via a La Costa, micro-segregation in the Ceibos neighborhood, geospatial tools in the Amazon, etc. were highlighted. Marco Faytong, professor of the School of International Studies, gave a talk on the following topics “Time and Health Neighbors: Geographic Clusters.”.
“The projects depend on you, as students and teachers, how you want to impact your society and bring solutions to everyday problems” mentioned an Esri representative.
The Planeta ESRI event presented different workshops that served as tools for students and teachers to deepen their knowledge in this area. This space also encouraged the proposal of effective solutions to current problems.
