UEES - Espiritu Santo University > News > Young people and their exit profiles for transforming Ecuador

Last Friday, April 12, the First Youth Education Congress was successfully held, an emblematic event organized by Unidos por la Educación and the Universidad Espíritu Santo (UEES), with the valuable support of the Ministry of Education and INEVAL.

The main objective of this congress was to promote the transcendence of the student exit profile, as well as to share transforming experiences and highlight the active voice of young people in the educational field.

The relevance of this event lies in the understanding that student progress is fundamental for a deep and lasting educational transformation. In the words of the Minister of Education, Daniel Calderón: «Students are the soul of our educational system. A teacher who works with heart, with mind, with passion is thinking of new things to do. One does not work as a teacher, one is a teacher».

The congress was attended by prominent teachers, researchers in education, psychologists, psychopedagogues and specialists in education in general, as well as by people interested in basic, higher and university education, and students eager to contribute to the debate and transformative action.

The event was a space for meeting and reflection, where ideas were shared, educational innovation was promoted and intergenerational dialogue was fostered, always seeking the continuous improvement of our educational system.
