Stanford University published its prestigious list of the most cited researchers worldwide, a compilation that seeks to establish a comprehensive database of citations, indexes and a composite indicator of academic impact.
The ranking, which covers the period between 1996 and 2022, as well as the calendar year 2022, is structured into 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields, according to the recognized standard Science-Metrix classification. The methodology includes data on impact over a career and for a specific year, with metrics that consider the presence of self-citations and the ratio of citations to citing articles.
From Universidad Espíritu Santo (UEES), our researchers Oscar del Brutto Perrone and Manuel Zambrano Monserrate were highlighted in this prestigious list.
Del Brutto has contributed significantly to neurology research, with pioneering studies on neurocysticercosis. His work has been instrumental in understanding and addressing this complex disease.
Zambrano has made valuable contributions in the area of environmental economics and applied econometrics, which contribute to the understanding and sustainable management of natural resources.
UEES celebrates these achievements, which are testimony to the commitment to academic excellence and quality research that characterizes our institution.
