On Saturday, June 29th, the inauguration of the 2nd Cohort of the Master's Degree in Educational Management. Between 900 and 1,000 teachers have enrolled in the master's degree program, which offers both on-site and online courses.

The event was attended by executives of the Universidad Espíritu Santo and coordinators from different areas of the country. Among them were: Joaquin Hernandez, Rector of UEES; Alberto Dahik, General Director of the Graduate School; Marlena Leon, Academic Vice Chancellor; Lisbeth Perez, Agustín Lindao, National Director of the Teacher Network; Juan Carlos Bustamante, Zone 1 Coordinator; Dillon Loor, Zone 2 Coordinator; Marcos Quispe, Zone 6 Coordinator; Jessenia Limón, Zone 8 Coordinator.

Economist Alberto Dahik, General Director of the Graduate School mentioned how it has been possible to lower the costs of this master's degree so that teachers can be part of it.

“We have decided not to charge indirect costs, depreciation, the cost of maintenance personnel, interest on debts, the cost of user licenses. This is the way we make our social contribution, not with demagoguery or deceit.”

He also commented on the benefits that teachers would have during the course of the master's program.

“We have planned conferences, workshops and lectures by people of the highest level so that you will be exposed to current issues; social, political, legal, ethical and economic. People such as Dr. Gustavo Noboa, former President of the Republic and Dr. Jorge Zavala Egas, a brilliant Ecuadorian jurisconsult, will be at your disposal at no cost.”
