«Huellas de Mujer» was the event organized by the Faculty of Communication of UEES as part of the celebration of International Women's Day.

Its objective is to promote the struggle for equality and motivate women in their professional projects and activities. “What we want is for this young female audience to set goals and objectives in the short, medium and long term that will allow them to become examples for other women,” said Katherine Calero, director of the Faculty.

The guest speakers were two alumni: Adriana Dager, who has left her mark in advertising through the DAGMAR agency, and Adelaida Jaramillo, founder of Palabra lab, a cultural space dedicated to generating literary activities in an entertaining way.

The event was born from a student initiative led by Jean Carlo Paredes (Journalism), Anita Hallón (Marketing), Juan Manuel Soto (Marketing) and Edward Candell (Marketing) and featured a campaign through social networks that exposed testimonials and messages from outstanding women in different fields of communication.

The event was conducted by Carolina Aguirre (Miss Ecuador 2012), a student of Journalism.
