In the third edition of the Pronobis Awards, architecture students from the Universidad Espiritu Santo (UEES) stood out by winning first, second and third place in the competition, beating 30 projects nationwide. Isabel Noboa Pontón, President of Nobis Holding de Inversiones and founder of this initiative, awarded the winners whose projects stood out for their innovation, creativity and sustainability, underlining the commitment to a conscious and avant-garde architectural development.
The challenge of this edition consisted of the development of the “Visitor Center” building in the Karibao macro project, located in Playas, with the objective of being a focal point of creativity, innovation and sustainability in its environment. The first place winning project, “Belaro”, was created by students Karen Bohórquez and José Andrés Mendoza. Second place went to “Muyu Visitor Center” by Sugey Constante and Adriana Libertad, while third place went to the “Komuna” project by Emilio López and Estefano Báez.
