UEES - Espiritu Santo University > News > Covid-19 vaccination talk at UEES

On Tuesday, January 12 and Wednesday, January 13, at the UEES Convention Center, the Ministry of Health training on vaccination against Covid-19 was held.

A total of 160 professionals from zone 5 and zone 8, equivalent to five provinces, were trained.
Zone 8: Guayaquil, Samborondón and Durán and Zone 5: rural Guayas, Los Ríos, Santa Elena, Bolívar and Galápagos.
This will be replicated to other health professionals who will also perform the application of the vaccine when it is for all citizens.

Dr. Francisco Pérez García, Zonal Coordinator 8 of the Ministry of Public Health, comments:

“The training aims to ensure that people, graduates or physicians know the correct handling of this vaccine from the moment it arrives at the vaccine bank, which must be -70°, until the moment the health professional is going to be vaccinated in its first stage and the citizens afterwards.”

Dr. Francisco Pérez García

The vaccine to be used is the one made by pfizer, which will be applied in several periods. The first stage is for health professionals and senior citizens in hospices.
