On Tuesday, July 16 at 11:00 am in the Great Regent Hall of Espiritu Santo University, the graduation ceremony for undergraduate students was held.
The event saw the graduation of 124 students from the different faculties and careers offered by the University. The collective oath was taken by the Dr. Carlos Ortega Maldonado, university chancellor.
The board of directors were: Dr. Carlos Ortega Maldonado, Chancellor UEES; Dr. Joaquín Hernández, Rector UEES; Master Eliana Molina, Academic Comptroller; Eco. Francisco Swett. Dean of the Faculty of Entrepreneurship, Business and Economics; Antonio Cevallos, Dean of the Faculty of Systems, Telecommunications and Electronics; Eng. Javier Castillo, Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences and Tourism and Hotel Management; Natalie Wong, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering; Dra. Alexandra Villacís, Dean of the School of Law, Politics and Development; Humberto Salazar, Director of UEES Online; Dr. Juan Carlos Gallardo, Director of the School of Dentistry; Irene Ancín, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Educational Sciences.
Mrs. Sonia Prado, mother of Michelle Stefania Medina Prado, received a postmortem diploma for having completed her degree in public relations and events.
The musical intermission was in charge of two graduates of the school of arts, Saray Bermudez Brunet, performing “Wake Up” by Avicii; and Ms. Maria Antonella Avila Mori, who performed “Adoro” by Armando Manzanero.
The “Cum Laude” distinction is awarded to students who have obtained during their studies at UEES a cumulative overall average between 95 and 96 out of 100.
Graduates of the School of Liberal Arts and Education Sciences received this distinction. María Antonella Ávila Mori; Saray Bermúdez Brunet and Andrés Nicolás Hinojosa Moncayo. From the Clinical Psychology Career: María Emilia Barriga Ramírez; Katherine Chantal Méndez Moreno; Paula María Romero Franco and Laura Alejandra Cruz Mera.
To conclude the event, Architect Andrea Estefanía Balcazar González gave a speech on behalf of the forty-fifth graduating class.
“Let's be citizens who add up, we have the privilege of graduating from a prestigious university. Let us not become passive people who only study to obtain a degree, let us be doers of our knowledge. Let's analyze what is happening around us. You and I are part of the future.
