The UEESCLINIC signed an important alliance with Global Smile Foundation, an international humanitarian organization that provides specialized treatment for children with cleft lip and palate. This collaboration represents a joint effort to offer comprehensive care to children in Ecuador, a country where Global Smile has worked for more than three decades and has established itself as the largest provider of treatment for these malformations.
Denise Franco, President of Global Smile Ecuador, highlighted the importance of this alliance: «We are joining efforts, dedication and heart to improve the lives of many children born with cleft lip and cleft palate. I know that by joining our efforts, the talent of all the doctors and the team of UEES and Global Smile Foundation, we will make a greater difference in our community and improve the quality of life of children in our country.«
For his part, Usama Hamdan, President of Global Smile International, expressed, «We are very proud of the collaboration between Global Smile Ecuador, Global Smile International and UEESCLINIC, and the high level of interaction, support and research that has been achieved. We are also very grateful for the hospitality received.»
Carlos Ortega Maldonado, Chancellor of UEES, emphasized that this agreement also opens doors for medical research and also provides psychological help with the UEES Mental Health Center.
This alliance reinforces the commitment of both institutions to improve children's health in Ecuador and marks a step forward in the fight against congenital malformations, offering greater hope and quality of life to the children who need it most.
