Espiritu Santo University participated for the first time in the World Ranking of Impact of the Times Higher Education (THE), in connection with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, obtaining the first place in Ecuador in a category.

The ranking uses indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparisons in three broad areas: research, outreach and administration.

Espiritu Santo University participated in 6 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): health and wellness, quality education, decent work and economic growth, sustainable cities and communities, life of terrestrial ecosystems, and national and international partnerships to achieve.

The UEES obtained the first place in Ecuador in the SDGs for: «Alliances to achieve objectives»and second place in «Health and Wellness«.

Five universities have already participated in this ranking in previous editions: UTPL, ESPE, ESPOL, EPN and UPS.

Espiritu Santo University, since 2010, has been part of the Global Compact Ecuador and is committed to implementing institutional initiatives and projects aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. In addition, it asserts the great commitment to work for the development of society, giving the university a remarkable support and prestige for its credibility and innovation in evaluation methodologies.
