UEES, number one in Ecuador and one of the most top 1,000 in the world according to QS 2026, consolidates its national presence from the capital city.
The Universidad Espiritu Santo (UEES) officially inaugurated its new Representative Office in the city of Quito, The event brought together authorities from the higher education system, diplomatic representatives, legislators, businessmen and academic leaders. This opening represents a strategic step towards building institutional alliances from one of the most influential environments in the country.
“UEES comes to Quito not only with an office, but with its hallmark: excellence, global vision and real impact,” said Carlos Ortega Maldonado, Chancellor of the university.
Ana Changuín, director of the new office, said: “The opening of this office strengthens and deepens the institutional presence of UEES in our beloved Quito. From this space we will work to connect, generate strategic alliances and articulate initiatives with the education sector, public agencies, the private sector and civil society. This office has a clear purpose: to bring our university even closer to the national public debate, with proposals, research and academic talent”.
Espiritu Santo University has been recognized as one of the 1,000 best in the world according to the QS World University Rankings 2026, is the number one university in Ecuador and is positioned in the top 7 in Latin America according to Times Higher Education. It was also highlighted as a regional leader in virtual education by the Innovatec ranking. The event closed with a symbolic ribbon cutting and a networking space with coffee and cocktails, where attendees shared ideas for future inter-institutional collaborations.
