The Universidad Espiritu Santo (UEES) carried out the International Congress Humanities in Dialogue, The event was an academic and cultural space where psychology, education and the arts were integrated to reflect on the challenges facing society in the 21st century.
For two days, participants enjoyed a diverse program that included keynote lectures, bootcamps of Education and Psychology, and workshops with renowned international experts such as Mariana Zourarakis (Argentina), Ricardo Monsalve (Colombia), José María Randle (Argentina) and Marta Pagan (United States), among others.
“In an era marked by technological acceleration, over-information, ideological polarization and emotional fragility, the humanities offer us, from education, the opportunity to think critically; from art, the ability to feel and create; and from psychology, the accompaniment of human processes and the strengthening of bonds,” said Lisbeth Perez, dean of the Faculty of Humanities at UEES.
Among the topics discussed were: the humanities in the 21st century, comprehensive care for children and adolescents with high abilities, the digital divide in education and tools for family support in mental disorders, among other related topics.
The meeting also offered an artistic component with simultaneous exhibitions by Cristina Game, Camille Gamarra and Pamela Arcos, in addition to the musical presentation of the Academia From Sun to Sun. In closing, a flash mob with about 100 dancers surprised the audience with choreographies and acrobatics that put a finishing touch to this international congress.
