Intercultural Day 2024: Celebration of Cultural Diversity at UEES

UEES - Espiritu Santo University > International Studies > Intercultural Day 2024: Celebration of Cultural Diversity at UEES

Universidad Espiritu Santo (UEES) presented with great success the event «Intercultural Day 2024», an annual meeting that invites to a fascinating journey through the cultures, traditions, gastronomy and history of countries around the world. This event, organized with enthusiasm by the students and with the participation of representatives from various embassies, offered attendees a unique and enriching cultural experience.

“It is an opportunity to discover the diversity of cultures that are present globally,” said Federico Kalbermatten, Deputy Consul of the Consulate of the Argentine Republic.

The event was highlighted by its vibrant artistic presentations and exhibitions, where music and dance played a fundamental role. From the impressive dragon dance to choreographies representing different regions of the world. For the students, this was an invaluable opportunity to broaden their horizons and appreciate a taste of cultural diversity.

“In this way we learn to have a global mindset. We not only focus on the business that can be done in this country, but also on the opportunities we have in different countries to relate to them, recognizing that our cultures are different,” said Elisa Santos, a UEES student.

Intercultural Day 2024 was, in essence, a trip around the world without leaving the university campus, where interculturality was celebrated and respect for traditions was promoted. This event not only enriched the participants with cultural knowledge, but also strengthened the spirit of unity and understanding among the diverse communities present.
