In an effort to bring Indian culture closer to the Ecuadorian public, the Embassy of India and India Ecuador Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the School of International Studies of the Universidad Espiritu Santo (UEES), present the Indian Film Fest 2024, the first Indian film festival in Samborondon. This free event will take place from September 27-29 at the Honoris Causa Hall of UEES, Samborondón.
Over the course of three days, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy four of the most representative productions of Bollywood, the world's largest film industry. The films will be screened with dubbing or subtitles in Spanish, allowing the entire audience to enjoy the experience, with genres ranging from drama, action, suspense and comedy.
Inauguration of the Festival
The official inauguration of the festival will be on Friday, September 27 at 11:00 am at the UEES Star House, with the presence of representatives of the Embassy of India, UEES authorities, and prominent members of the Indian community in Ecuador.

Ki & Ka (translated by She and Him) is a 2016 Indian Hindi romantic comedy film written, directed and produced by R. Balki. The film stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor in the lead roles. It released in theaters on April 1, 2016 to mixed reviews and became a hit grossing over Rs. 100.33 crores (US$12 million) worldwide. Kia is a motivated woman who aspires to succeed in the business world and also wants more women to aspire to thrive in their careers. Kabir is the quiet son of a successful building constructor who has no desire to take over his father's company or inherit his wealth.

Baji Rao Mastani
It is a epic film India of romance and history, from 2015, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who also composed the music for the film. It is jointly produced by Bhansali and Eros International.
It stars Ranveer Singh like Bajirao I y Deepika Padukone like Mastani, with Priyanka Chopra as Bajirao's first wife, Kashibai. Tanvi Azmi, Aditya Pancholi, Vaibbhav Tatwawdi and Milind Soman also appear in supporting roles. Based on the novel Marathi, Raau written by Nagnath S. Inamdar, the film narrates the story of the peshwa from Maratha Empire Bajirao I (1700-1740) and his second wife Mastani.
