The project “Dissemination of values through performing arts”, an initiative of the Faculty of Humanities of UEES that sought to promote values and knowledge in children at risk through performing arts, has concluded. For several months, students and teachers of the dance career worked on the creation and presentation of shows that conveyed positive and educational messages.
The project was developed in unconventional spaces, bringing art and knowledge to places where children have less access to this type of experience. Through dance and other artistic expressions, themes such as respect, solidarity, responsibility and the importance of education were addressed.
This initiative not only benefited the children, who had the opportunity to learn and reflect on fundamental values for their integral development, but also allowed UEES students to strengthen their professional training by applying their knowledge in a real context and developing soft skills such as communication and teamwork. The teachers, for their part, updated their knowledge and strengthened their creative skills.
This project demonstrates UEES's commitment to the integral formation of its students and the development of the community. It is hoped that this initiative will serve as inspiration for future projects that use art as a tool for social transformation.
