The Ecuadorian Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CECE) and the Espiritu Santo University, in collaboration with leading researchers and companies in the sector, present the Ecommerce Study 2024 - measurement #7. This comprehensive study provides a detailed analysis of the current state of ecommerce in Ecuador and Latin America.

For Leonardo Ottati, president of the Ecuadorian Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CECE), this measurement, which is elaborated annually, is an in-depth look at e-commerce in Ecuador and its projections. “The number of e-commerce consumers in Ecuador continues to grow, attracted by the convenience of meeting their needs from their home, vehicle or office. This growth is driven by the extensive internet coverage in the country, which exceeds 80%.»

The Ecommerce 2024 Study provides a comprehensive view of the market, highlighting the emerging trends, challenges and opportunities facing the sector. Through a rigorous research design, the study presents accurate and relevant data that will be of great use to companies, academics and professionals interested in the development of e-commerce.

✅ 465 million digital transactions in Ecuador in 2024.
✅ 81.1 million corresponds to e-commerce, an increase of 6.1M vs. 2023.
✅ The total value of digital transactions reached USD 20,746 million.
✅ E-commerce represents USD 4,618 million, with a 22% growth with banked media compared to last year.
✅ Closing 2024: Turnover of USD 5.5 billion including direct credit and other forms of payment.
Projection 2025: It is expected to reach USD 6.5 billion, marking a milestone in the sector.
