Maria Elizabeth Arteaga, D. candidate in Administration and Management of Organizations at the University of California, Berkeley, USA. Espiritu Santo University (UEES), together with her mentor, Dr. Alexandra Portalanza, obtained an outstanding recognition during the International Conference on Project Management, held on September 5 and 6 in Bogota, Colombia, and organized by the EAN University.
The event brought together experts from Latin America and other regions to discuss the challenges facing organizations in an ever-changing global environment. Topics such as energy transition, the digital transformation and the artificial intelligence were the central focus of the more than 90 papers presented, which invited the participants to rethink the strategic role of the project management in modern organizations.
Among all the presentations, only four investigations were recognized as the best of the event. Among them, the work of María Elizabeth Arteaga and Alexandra Portalanza, both also professors at UEES, with the paper entitled:
“Performance of Project Management in Ecuador: Proposal for a Structural Model”.”.
This study proposes an innovative structural model that scientifically analyzes the efficiency of project management in the Ecuadorian context, offering a significant contribution to both the academic and professional spheres. Its rigorous and contextualized approach was what led the evaluation committee to grant it the recognition for the best paper of the event.
This achievement reaffirms the company's commitment to UEES with academic excellence, applied research and the formation of leaders capable of generating impact from knowledge.
