The Universidad Espíritu Santo (UEES) hosted the final of the Hult Prize, the world's most prestigious social and environmental entrepreneurship competition. In this edition On campus, teams from different faculties presented innovative ideas to address the world's most pressing problems. The winning group, composed of Karla Palacios, Gabriela Guzmán, Paul del Valle and Kevin Mariño, stood out with their project “Bioalgae”.

The winning proposal consisted of biodegradable band-aids to combat pollution produced by the medical industry. The winners will compete in the Latin America and Caribbean regionals for the chance to win $1 million in seed capital to finance their business.

The participants were students from the faculties of Architecture and Design, Engineering, International Studies and Entrepreneurship, Business and Economics.

These results are a source of great pride for the UEES community, demonstrating our commitment to academic excellence and the promotion of social and environmental entrepreneurship. It also highlights the talent and creativity of our students who continue to contribute significantly to the solution of global problems.
