University Residence

We welcome you to the UEES residence hall, for which we ask you to take into account the following rules of safety and proper use of facilities.

Access to the Residence

  • The Residence Hall service is only for young women.
  • The Residence Hall service is only for young women.
  • In case of loss of the ID card: the resident must report it to the UEES administration, so that a new one can be issued (upon payment of the corresponding fees at the cashier's office).
  • The improper use or loan to third parties who are not student residents, of the admission card will be cause for the loss of the right to continue using the residence, without prejudice to any other sanctions that may apply.
  • The room will be contracted for a minimum of one academic period*, no refund will be made for the aforementioned payment.

Furniture and Equipment

  • The rooms will be furnished with bed, bedside table, curtains and equipment. Residents should bring their own sheets and towels.
  • Residents are responsible for the equipment, furniture and fixtures of the Residence and social areas. In case of loss and misuse of the same, the corresponding value will be assumed by the person responsible, and in case there is none, by the guests in a proportional manner of the cost.
  • The resident must immediately report to the administration any anomaly or malfunction in the room or in the room.

Visit

  • Resident guests may only receive visits from their parents. They must inform the University in advance, which in turn must inform the guardhouse and the Administrator of the complex. Persons who are not registered as guests are not allowed to stay in the rooms. The administration may carry out inspections of the correct use of the residences and/or verifications at any time.
  • The entrance to the residences is only and exclusively for the people who live in it, and for visitors with authorization; the entrance of strangers or unauthorized students is strictly prohibited.

Prohibitions

  • Inside the room it is not allowed to wash clothes, hang them on the curtain rails, or iron them; for this purpose there are spaces on the first floor of the residence.
  • It is forbidden to prepare food (this includes the use of cookers and other similar appliances) inside the room; for this purpose the kitchen of the residence is at guests' disposal and is equipped with everything necessary for the area.
  • The appliances and equipment allowed in the room are stereo, TV and hair dryer, with prior authorization the resident may have a small refrigerator, or auxiliary furniture.
  • No pets or animals are allowed in the residence.
  • Smoking is prohibited throughout the residence; it is only allowed in the designated areas (patios).
  • The use or possession of psychotropic substances, alcoholic beverages and in general all types of weapons within the residence facilities and devices or objects that cause or may cause a nuisance to neighboring residents is prohibited.

Failure to comply with these rules may be cause for sanction by the Disciplinary Committee of the Faculty to which the resident guest belongs or the Residence Hall Disciplinary Committee. For disciplinary reasons, for moral offenses, acts of vandalism or others that the committee deems contrary to these rules.

Note: The common rules that determine the use of the swimming pool and other common facilities of the residential complex must be followed by the guests.

Form of contract

2 month deposit, that in case of damages, they will be charged; minimum of one academic semester. An exception will be made in the case of special programs for students coming from abroad. No reimbursement will be made for the aforementioned payment.

In case of interest to pre-cancel the entire year, a discount of 15% will be granted.

Note: Any anomaly in the residences must be reported to the Department of Admissions or to the Administrative Department Mrs. Luz Maria Pesantes and María José Ávila.
