Target

Formar especialistas con una alta capacidad académica para diagnosticar, planificar y ejecutar tratamiento actuales de la Rehabilitación Oral y Prótesis Implanto Asistida. Formar profesionales éticamente responsables con altos valores del cuidado del paciente y de su bienestar, basando su actividad en los principios de la Odontología Basada en Evidencia. Promover la divulgación de conocimientos técnicos-científicos permitiendo así, aportar soluciones a problemas sociales dentro de un marco ético y globalizado.

Aimed at

Professionals with a third level degree in the area of dentistry, granted by a National or foreign University, recognized in the list of Senescyt.

Student profile upon graduation

  • Analizar alteraciones del sistema oclusal y estomatognático, aplicados en la práctica odontológica general y de la Rehabilitación oral.
  • Demostrar destrezas, habilidades, conocimientos, actitudes y aptitudes para establecer un plan de tratamiento basado en evidencia científica actualizada para cada paciente.
  • Coordinar y direccionar el diagnóstico y tratamiento de carácter multidisciplinar, basado en una comunicación adecuada con otros especialistas en procedimientos quirúrgicos y no quirúrgicos complementarios.
  • Realizar tratamientos complejos de Rehabilitación Oral sobre dientes e implantes.
  • Participar en procesos de gestión en las áreas y servicios odontológicos de la especialidad, promoviendo la generación de saberes y tecnologías sanitarias.
  • Reflexionar críticamente sobre la práctica odontológica general y de la Rehabilitación Oral en particular, y abordar el conocimiento de los problemas de la especialidad de forma sistémica.
  • Realizar el seguimiento, monitoreo, control y evaluación de los tratamientos de Rehabilitación Oral aplicados en los pacientes, con capacidad de análisis crítico.
  • Orient their professional practice towards health promotion and preventive care within the framework of dialogue of knowledge, interculturality, gender approach and respect for the rights of the Good Life.

Title to be awarded

Once the academic, assistance and administrative requirements have been met, the degree has been defended and the student has participated in high impact articles or research projects, the degree of Especialista en Rehabilitación Oral y Prótesis Implanto Asistida.

El programa del postgrado es de modalidad presencial y de dedicación exclusiva. La duración del programa de Especialización en Rehabilitación Oral y Prótesis Implanto Asistida es de 5 períodos académicos (2 años y medio).

Requirements to participate in the contest

All documents must be notarized copies.

Documents supporting the suitability of the applicants

  • Present the citizenship card for national applicants; and, for foreign applicants, the identity card or passport.
  • Be a professional in the specific field of knowledge of dentistry with a national or foreign third level degree registered in the National System of Higher Education Information of Ecuador (SNIESE).
  • Have your professional title registered with the Health Authority and ACESS Certification.
  • Have passed the CACES professional qualification exam.
  • Level of proficiency in a language other than the mother tongue as established in the Internal Regulations of the Graduate School.
  • To be the winner of the merit and competitive examination (considering the presentation of all the documents stipulated in the Technical Standard in force at the time of the call for competition).
  • Certificate of final grade.

Documents for merit qualification (30 points)

  • Certificates of dental training courses endorsed by an institution of higher education.
  • Publications and/or letters of acceptance for publication in indexed journals or books; as main author or co-author.
  • Doctorate (Ph.D. or equivalent) in the area of health registered with Senescyt.
  • Specialization in the health area registered in the Senescyt.
  • Master's degree in the area of health registered with Senescyt.
  • Teaching assistantships, practical or theoretical tutorships in higher education institutions, duly certified by the competent authority, obtained through merit and competitive examinations.
  • Awards for academic merit and/or research, granted by an institution of higher education or one of the country's academic teaching units.
  • Completed full or half academic scholarships awarded by domestic or foreign institutions of higher education or other entity.
  • Participation in research projects duly endorsed by an institution of higher education, a research institution.
  • Certificates of lecturer or speaker at endorsed academic meetings.

On the competitive examinations (70 points)

The opposition test will be conducted through the BlackBoard platform, according to the established schedule, it will have two components.

Admission requirements

  • Winner of a merit-based competitive examination.
  • Fill out the admission forms of the Program and submit the documents required by the University and UAD.
  • Interview with the program director or coordinator.
  • Take the psychological tests
  • Cancel the registration fee and the first term before the beginning of the program.
