When does the pre-med start? Do I have to pass a pre-med in order to enter UEES?

The requirement to enter UEES is to pass or homologate the leveling course, which is a propaedeutic course that replaces the “pre-university” course.

There are 11 leveling courses for medicine (each one lasts two months) and 22 leveling courses for the rest of the careers (these last one month) starting on the first working Monday of the year and there is a new leveling course for medicine every month and every two weeks for the rest of the careers, from January until the second week of November.

What benefits do I get from being an IB?

Students with IB (International Baccalaureate) certification are exempted from two of the four subjects of the leveling course.

The IB Diploma exonerates the entire leveling course, except for the careers of Medicine and Dentistry, where only two subjects will be taken in the leveling course. In addition, the IB Diploma validates up to two subjects, which means that your studies will have a slightly lower value.

I want to switch to UEES, what is the procedure?

For the process of homologation at UEES it is necessary to present the last grade report obtained at your university to the faculty where you wish to transfer to UEES. This will tell you how many subjects are homologable in your case. Once you agree with the homologable subjects, you may enter the registration form (https://forms.gle/AxvEM2JAufDhsXGy7) and your student code will be created.

After that, it is necessary to request the syllabus of the approved subjects from your home university. In some universities they call it «Syllabus» and it consists of:

  • Academic content of the subject
  • Schedule of classes
  • Bibliography.
  • Minimum passing grade
  • Note obtained.

In addition, it is required to present.

  • Certificate of English level (Only for International Negotiations)

These documents must be submitted to the faculty in which you are interested in transferring within 90 days of the start of your classes.
