In 2013, the CENTER FOR ARBITRATION AND MEDIATION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ESPÍRITU SANTO SPECIALITIES - UEES was created as a unit attached to the Faculty of Law, Politics and Development, under the principles of impartiality, confidentiality and celerity, with the purpose of solving conflicts in an agile and efficient manner, through Arbitration and Mediation, without the need to resort to the ordinary justice system.
We have our main office in the city of Samborondón, Km. 2.5 of La Puntilla-Samborondón Road, and a dependent office located in the city of Guayaquil, Quito Avenue and 9 de Octubre. In addition, we are authorized to act throughout the Ecuadorian territory, in person or virtually, and also internationally.
In 2021, 94% of the mediation requests promoted in our Center achieved a total agreement, which demonstrates proven effectiveness in resolving conflicts without the need for ordinary courts.
All our arbitrators are recognized professionals of academic prestige and notorious honesty, and most of them belong to law firms recognized in international rankings such as Chambers and Partners and Legal 500.
We have a team of international arbitrators to resolve disputes inside or outside Ecuador.
Finally, for both mediation and arbitration, we have specialized commissions in the areas of commerce, sports, intellectual property, environment, taxation, public sector, family, labor law, among others.
